Strike King Rocket Shad

This bait's innovative sleek design allows you to cast it farther, retrieve it faster and cover more water. It is an excellent schooling fish lure and a great drop bait too. Because it runs perfectly in fast current, it's great for fishing below the dam or in the river. It perfectly imitates the most common baitfish - the shad.

    Great little bait!
    Date:
This is a great little bait, I was catching everything and getting hit by everything, but a couple problems. The hook fell off and never knew it happen till I noticed that the skirt fell off. They need to fix this problem of the hook falling off and they should have replacement skirts for this. I love the action and all that hit it. While the hook was on I even caught a couple channel cats along with Pike, Bream and Bass....

    Super Little Blade
    Date:
I love this little spinnerbait. The size is just right for the Smallmouth and Spotted Bass in my favorite lake. The double hook helps prevent hangups and it always runs true. I swap the Colorado blade for a willowleaf and fish it when it is breezy.

    catches variety of fish
    Date:
the rocket shad needs improvements. I purchased about a 10 lures last year and only 5 are now functional. The worst problem is the double hook coming off........this happened on 2 of the 5. The skirts broke loose on 4 of the 5 which are not functional. The hook is held together by a small O ring which does not last. Once the skirt starts shedding or falling out .....it is soon skirtless.
Does it catch fish ? Yes. Every type of bass that swims in these TN. waters and channel cats/bluegills etc. Casts well and doesnt hang up a lot due to the upturned hooks. Should Strike King improve the two items above ,it would be a great lure. They should offer replacement skirts/hooks.....a fairly expensive bait in the 1/4 ounce size

    FISH FINDING MACHINE.
    Date:
The STRIKE KING (ROCKET SHAD)was a great discovery for me .I like to use small spinerbaits for Crappie fishing in early spring.I seem to catch bigger Crappie on them .So it made sence they would be a good choice. Most all the other baits I used before were 1/16 to1/8th. oz. types.some even smaller. To cast them I used 4# line UL.rods 6ft. long, they work perfect. But what I quickly found out ROCKET SHADS were to heavy for my utra Lts.S0..I tied a 3/8 oz.on to a med. 6.6ft. med. Baitcaster.rod.with12# flo.carb. line FLIPPIN for crappies,,,Great...I started plucking some nice crappies off docks, trees and bushes.I then started fan casting between targets as I moved down the bank,Ding 2#Largermouth then another and few more.I'm thinking these ROCKET SHAD are great..I have used them four years now, and can tell you they can be used for almost ever thing you can think up.Drop bait, burn them, use like a spoon in cold water. They will catch everthing.I went out in a kayak a few summers back messing around ,and though I got hung up.So I pulled myself over to this weed clump. As I was orkin and dorkin tryin to get loose. The line started moving. AND THEN THIS FREEK !!!MUSKEY DID A SHAMOO JUMP!!! SCARED THE LA!LA!LA! OUT OF ME.I can sill see that ROCKET SHAD hooked in the corner of his ugly mug.The best part of this story is.HE took off like a rocket did another giant jump and spit My ROCKET SHAD,,,BACK AT ME ..YEEE!!!!HAAA.!!!!THANK YOU GOD...
