I've been very happy with the Zebco Platinum reel. It's simple to operate, works well and seems sturdy. I have no complaints at all.

Slick Zebco Platinum Reels!

I purchased my first Zebco platinum reel last summer. I have always had good luck with Zebco reels, for the money they just perform very well. To my surprise, the platinum reel was even better and so silky smooth it was amazing for a reel in this price category. You can sure spend a lot more money for a reel, but for the money you can't beat the Zebco platinum series!

Nice little reels

Use these reels almost exclusively when trout fishing. Give me good control, cast well. The only caution is once you have the drag set don't play with it, seems to cause problems with it sooner than normal if constantly adjusting. While I have got several years out of some of these reels I typically count on replacing every 2 or 3 years but for the price that is not a big deal.

Its a good reel. I used it stream fishing; it was smooth casting, no tangles, no problems. The Eagle rod and this reel make a very good combination.
