One of the secrets to great-tasting jerky is the marinade. Cabela's has combined just the right mixture of seasonings,
spices and liquid to make scrumptious jerky every time. All you need to do is put 5 lbs. of meat, ground or strips, in a
plastic bag and add 16 ounces of jerky marinade. The full gallon marinates 40 lbs. of meat. Cure overnight in
the refrigerator. Remove the meat and dab away excess moisture. Dry the meat in a smoker, dehydrator or oven. It's
that easy. One gallon. (16-oz. bottle shown.)
Available: Original, Sweet Sassy Molassy, Chipotle Wildfire.
i would reccomend this marninade jerky juice. for me it blends in much easier and evens the flavor throughout the meat much better. oh yes, the flavors pretty darn good also.
I received a 16 oz bottle of the smokehouse jerky juice for my birthday last month and made some jerky last weekend. I have made jerky for over 25 years with many different brands and I must say, this was the WORST tasting jerky I have ever made. Even gave some to my neighbors and they were NOT happy either with the taste.
i noticed that cabelas no longer sells jim meltons marinade so i bought this thinking is sounded and looked similar. so i bought it! it was terrible! whos bright idea at cabelas was to get rid of jim meltons marinade and go with this?!?!?!??! NOT GOOD AT ALL! but thats ok i looked it up online and found where i can buy the good stuff at! wish you all sold it again! :( this stuff was not good at all. way to salty and tasted to smokey for my liking!!! good luck with this if you think its going to be like jims that they used to sell!!!! very disappointing!!!
