The Snaro Bird Point features wide wire loops to greatly increase the impact area and prevent arrow loss
on the ground. The ultimate challenge for any bowhunter is to take a game bird in flight, and no
tip is better suited for this than the Snaro Bird Point.
Available: 6" or 3".
This specality broadhead is great on birds and small mammals. I wouldnt reccomend it on anything over the size of a rabbit. The blunt tip delivers trauma to the target while the hard wire loops deliver shock. Very lethal provided you hit your mark. Took a sparrow's and starling's head clean off. Very pleased with the results
As an avid archery hunter, I suspected some of the limitations before I shot it. I bought both Snaro sizes and both work excellant for taking birds in flight. The smaller size will work for taking birds perched in thickets but do not attempt to shoot into anything soild like tree branches.
Do not shoot at birds on the ground as the wires will fold back. You might have to shoot a longer arrow so the cage can clear your sights. I have read some people tried to shot small game like rabbits and squirrels. I would suggest only shooting at birds because if the cage if caught on anything prior to hitting the target, knockdown power drops dramatically.
Overall, its a great product for its intended use. Unfortunatley most people can not take a bird in flight.
