love this DSI combo!
Date:
i have had several compact low to mid range fish finders and for the money, the features and quality, this product is great. the detail is incredible, the GPS is dead on even when i was in completely off the charts water ways. i have a sit on top kayak and its size is perfect for my needs, i also purchased the scupper transducer mount, five stars on that too!

DSI works great
Date:
I researched fish finders for a month before purchasing this one. I mounted on a RAM mount in my kayak. It works better than I expected. The detail stunning!
The instructions warn against a shoot through hull mount but I decided that for my situation I would try it and if it did not work the scupper hole mount would be my next purchase. No problems with it so far.
I think that in a bass boat the Elite 5 would be the better choice but for the money you just can't beat it.
