Awesome Unit
Date:
I really don't understand the bad reviews this unit is getting, mine has performed perfectly. It takes a few minutes to set up and you're good to go. The light issue I read in some reviews has been a non-issue, mine has done equally well on sunny and cloudy days. The sonar is the very best I've seen on any non-color unit and the options are very usable and make the unit more versatile. The di mode is at it's best in freeze frame to check out the rocks, trees, etc that hold fish. The sonar is the bread and butter here and the fish echos are truly fish. The unit has the sharpest display and shows the make-up of the hard or soft bottom better than any unit I have seen. Super value, Great resolution and works in shallow as well as deep water at all speeds. I highly recommend this product.

Not Good
Date:
I have other Humminbird Electronics and they have performed great. This unit is not good. Screen very dark, and hard to see. Unit does not display depths shallower than ten feet. Called Humminbird and they said the software in these units are defective. I need to send the unit in for upgrade. Another week without a bow mount locator. Humminbird dropped the ball on this one.

570 di??
Date:
I have a Lowrance x-51 and wanted a second, maybe an ungrade. So far this is not it. It has some good features, but in shallow water or when moving more than trolling speed, the screen locks up. I can't reset it, i have to unplug it to get it to power down so I can reset. Very frustrating. Not giving up yet.

SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED TO ME AS BK...'s review
Date:
Could not ever get it to consistenly tell depth..I have the 798 and it is flawless...I tried adjusting transducer and same stuff was going on. I dont know what's wrong with this unit but I would not reccomend it for trolling motor.....
