Effortlessly removes powder residue and copper fouling with a few fast pulls of the cleaning rod. Its nonacidic, 5%-ammonia formula is harmless to barrel steel. 200 ml. Do not leave in barrel longer than 15 minutes or it can be harmful to the barrel.
Used based on friend (avid shooter) advice. 7MM was tossing fliers once in 3 shots. I had cleaned gun previously, but when using sweet's it was as if I had never cleaned previously. It took some 30+ minutes of swabbing, changing swipes and do it again, but eventually no more copper. removed as much of fluid as possible and then re-shot rifle. What a difference! No more fliers and group much tighter.
My old M1 Garand was all over the place, I cleaned and claened the bore with other solvents. I thought it might be time to buy a new barrel, but a friend of mine told me to try sweets so i did. Patch after patch came out blue as a choking smurf. Long story short, 15 min of cleaning with this stuff and the M1 looked like a new bore and my grouping really improved. This stuff works great ! After useing the sweets its good to make one pass with hoppes just to get all the sweets out.
OK, I'm a believer. Last night I cleaned my coyote rifle really well, I thought, with regular Shooter's Choice. Then I looked down the muzzle. I was shocked at how much copper I could see still in the bore. Today I picked up some Sweet's, and used it according to the directions. The third swabbing showed no more blue, so I cleaned out the Sweet's and hooked up my FoulOut unit. It stayed on only about 5 seconds before it indicated the bore had no more copper in it, so the FoulOut confirmed that the Sweet's did it's job completely. I'm sold on Sweet's. Way easier and faster and less messy than the FoulOut method. I'll still use the other standard cleaners routinely, but occasionally use Sweet's to thoroughly clean the copper out. It works! I like the gel consistency. (Gloves are recommended, as well as a bore guide to keep it out of the action.) You'll definitely want to follow it up afterwards with a good steel preservative like Kroil.
