Birchwood Casey® Barricade® Rust Protection for Firearms

This special formula protects your firearms from rust with cutting-edge technology. It rapidly drives out moisture from metal pores and deposits a transparent coating, which seals the surface with a protective film. Withstands 500 hours in American Society for Testing of Materials humidity test and 96 hours in ASTM salt spray test. Barricade Rust Protection is also an excellent penetrant for loosening rusty or frozen parts, as well as a good lubricant and an effective bore cleaner. Contains a special grease and abrasion remover to wipe off corrosive fingerprints on all your firearms.

I have used this product for a year now and it is the best rust prevenative product I have used, it stays on longer than anything I have used before and leaves a shiny finish.

Hunting across the globle for many different species requires a number of different caliber rifles and shotguns. The investment in my firearm collection is protected from rust and the elements with Barricade. As I currently prepare for a Manitoba Spring Bear hunt, I know my gear will be subjected to Rain and Moisture almost daily. Since I wipe down my Rifle's exterior and my Knife with Barridade I know they will remain rust free. For extra protection I apply a few coats and let it dry without wiping off the excess. It eliminates finger prints from Blued and Stainless as well as salt stains from costal boat hunts. Great also for your pistols and even keeping your reloading press in top shape. I also buy the Barricade WIPES to keep things protected during the trip when the weather is at its worst. I highly recommend this product. DJ

I remember using this stuff when I was a kid on wood stocks for rabbits and pheasant. Now I'm using it again, perfect for waterfowl hunting makes the cleaning after a light rain much easier, and keeps my worry factor down on rust. I spray my gunsafe guns down with this and place in a Cabelas gun sock for longer term storage too. Also FYI, I coat my personal defense pistol with this stuff, seems it gets the most moisture,grit / dirt of any of my guns. Haven't seen any problems on polymer frame.My pistol bore is perfectly safe after applying on a patch & giving it a few pass thru's. WD40 on steroids!
