Cabela's Trans-Alaska Snowshoes

  • Allows natural footing on uneven terrain
  • System allows the ankle to rotate side to side
  • Lightweight, stiff aluminum V-shape frame
Our Trans-Alaska Snowshoes excel in extreme-winter conditions. A revolutionary spring-loaded suspension system allows natural footing on uneven terrain for unmatched control and comfort. The system limits snowshoe rotation, for better maneuverability, and is the only system that allows the ankle to rotate side to side, while eliminating heel twist. The easy-to-adjust ratchet binding with quick-release buckles fits large boots and packs flat. Stainless steel Traverse Trac side rails and heel cleats bite into the snow while traversing and descending. Lightweight, stiff aluminum V-shape frame provides a smooth-feeling suspension. All-Trac stainless steel toe crampons ensure sure-footed traction and control. Nytex decking is durable and flexible in extreme-cold temperatures.

    good shoe
    Date:
nice light shoe. If you are a large person go with the 36" or a different model. work well, and they are not my first pair, I use them for work and put a lot of hard miles on them. They hold up and last a long time.

    Best bindings
    Date:
I do a lot of snow shoeing and my big gripe has been the antiquated bindings. This is the second pair (of 5) of bindings in our family that are ratchet type. The bindings on this pair are fantastic. Easy off and on even with mittens/gloves on. They have good flotation and gripping in all snow/ice conditions.
