Cabela's Canadian Snowshoes
Using methods similar to those begun by their ancestors centuries ago, Cabela's Canadian snowshoes are made almost entirely by hand by Huron Indians. Using Northern Ash for the frames and full-grain leather for the lacing, our snowshoes are rated superior to those made of less expensive materials. Northern ash is the same wood used in major league baseball bats and top-of-the-line wooden hand tools. Full-grain leather is less likely to absorb moisture than less expensive leather. Every few years a coat of marine varnish should be applied to the entire shoe. Bindings not included.
