It works fine with my 30lb thrust trolling motor if you don't need to row using the same oarlocks that the motor mount is mounted in to. The side fittings pop out as soon as any rowing pressure is appoied. I tried unsuccessfully to get information from Sevylor to see if I may have been doing something wrong that causes the side mounts to pop out during rowing. What a waste of about 40 minutes which consisted of 15 minutes on hold waiting to talk to a someone.
I have bought 2 Sevylor boats now as well as the trolling motor and this motor mount and am generally happy with the quality of thier boats. If you buy products by Sevylor, don't expect any help at all from the instructions they include or from thier Customer Service Department. The are evidently owned by Coleman now and they know absolutely nothing about Sevylor products. They give instructions by reading you the same (bad & incoplete)instructions that come with the products. The only solutions they offer are to return the products an they will examine them to see if they are defective.
Our boat requires this mount for our trolling motor. The side arms pop out while boat is in use. The plastic part cracked that holds the anchor bolts for adjustable arms.
