to short for boat

These 48" oars were recommended for our 12' Sevylor inflatable boat. Excellent quality, but they are 12" to short for this boat. I wish that they would have reviewed the specs for the 12' Sevylor inflatable boat before recommending we purchase 48" oars. If it wouldn't be a hassle to exchange them for the recommended length, I would. On opening day, our battery died in the middle of Convict Lake. Thank God for giving women patience to adapt to a dead battery, short oars and a husband with a broken hand. This didn't lend to catching our limit for that day. The oars are lightweight and sturdy. I would recommend these oars as long as the requirements recommend 48".
