I ordered four of the rafts for friends and family to use during my annual fun float on the Stilly River. Only two will hold air and I am unsure at this time if the other two are adequate. The rafts are huge compared to what else is on the market but if they will not stay inflated they are not a good deal. After just a few hours of sitting in the yard the outer air baffle has gone soft. I am use to rafts holding air for months not hours. For certain two go flat in just a few hours. The other two are slightly soft and I keep topping them off in hopes they will seal themselves. I have checked to ensure the air intake is properly closed and it is. I am disappointed. My float is in two days.
This raft is exactly what I was looking for. I have taken it out on the river and it performed very well: bounces off of rocks, rides low-grade rapids. I had two of my teens joyriding and myself fishing and we fit very well. Any more would have been too many, but if we were all just floating then I can see five people fitting in this raft. I have also fished it on smaller lakes and it handles well, however it becomes difficult in windy situations. The oars are cheap but usable. It is a little difficult to paddle because of its thicker sides. It is a dream to transport and easy to inflate. I did the same thing as reviewer Scawler; I put in a carpeted board floor, and I'm going to install a bass seat and small motor. Overall, this is a very nice boat/raft that serves its purpose well. Don't expect it to do more than it is designed, like high-grade rapids.
Well, I am on my second raft of the summer for river tubin with friends! This raft surely has the interior size for 2 and 2 coolers with room to spare.... BUT, the first run of its hopefully lasting summer was shortly lived tearing the bottom and puncturing the outer air chamber. I would not suggest this raft for shallow water fishing, rafting, or shallow water rivers. The material strength is very low and maybe should get rid of the 'super tough' slogan. Very unhappy with its strength and should have spent the extra money for another better raft. Good luck
Ive yet to try my new inflatable after researching many boats. With so many positive reviews, I cant wait to try it!! My only question is how do i launch it?? I have purchased a trolling motor & have seen a dolly for inflatables. Ill return to finish my review once I take it out for a spin!
