Makes Tent Camping Enjoyable Again

Unless I could bring a full mattress along camping, my back and hips were done for sleeping outdoors. An adult leader at a camporee said I should try out his mat. I was instantly impressed. I could lay on my side and not feel the ground! The mat was comfortable, warm and a creature comfort I needed to add to my list. Since owning the mat, my cost per good night's sleep is almost nothing and I haven't missed an opportunity to camp with the Troop since. The fact that it packs into a small roll just lager than a propane bottle is a huge benefit too.

Awesome Mat

I have used this mat for a couple of years now and it is well worth the money. From summer to winter nights below 0 I have yet to feel any cold come through the mat. It is the most light weight comfortable mat I have slept on. I own 2 other pad (self inflating) and this mat is better that the both of them. Wish I had bought this mat 20 years ago.

The Best Pad You Can Buy..

I have Exped's first version of this mat. It too is excellent but not as small in pack size, and the inflation system is not as well designed as this one.

Based on my research this is the best mat you can buy. It's extremely good insulating properties will keep you well insulated on any ground, rock, or ice you can find. I use the largest version of this mat and It packs into a very small volume whch conserves space in my pack. It's inflation pump system is easy to use and protects the down from moisture. It's genius in it's design.

When you are camping on cold ground, ice, or rock you must be insulated from it or you will not be able to sleep. Since getting rest is essential to survival, this mat goes with me whenever I camp or hike.

the only mat you need

pumping takes a little time, not much though. thick, soft or firm however you like it. rolls up and tight easily. for all seasons. looks tough and durable. should last decades if used right. great mat period!
