Browning® Northstar Air Pads

Include a Browning Northstar Air Pad in with your camping gear and you’ll be equipped for a good night’s sleep. Lightweight, self-inflating and highly packable, these air pads feature an interior filled with JetStream foam. To pack, simply undo the air pad’s brass valve, roll air out of the foam and reseal valve. For instant inflation, simply undo valve and foam inflates pad by expanding. Tops are made of a brushed suedelike fabric and bottoms are durable polyester taffeta. Repair kit and stuff sack included. Imported.

purchased two 3" Browning pads for a weekend tent camping with my 7 yr old son in the northern Adirondacks this weekend. Both nights were in the mid 20's but these lightweight pads kept the ground from sapping heat and in fact were "warm" underneath. I was highly impressed, especially after finding out firsthand how cold your body gets sleeping on an inflatable "mattress" in the winter. The open air space of one of them "sucks" the heat right out of your body. The insulating properties of these pads, the light weight and the compactness of them made a believer out of me and made me feel good that my son was as warm and comfortable as I.
