We put the Alaskan Guide name on our best products after they're extensively tested and proven worthy – our redesigned Alaskan Guide Cot is a first-rate example of our field-testing dedication. We made the powder-coated steel frame even sturdier with larger, beefier brackets and hinges on the frame and legs. Its oversized sleeping area is constructed of PVC-backed, 600-denier nylon. Folds down to 42-1/2" x 8" x 9" to fit in an included nylon carry bag. Imported.

Good cot

The Alaska Guide Cot is a great choice for those of us somewhat above average size. Since it has a canvas bed surface it is a bit stiff to assemble until it has been slept on. If arm strength is not adequate simply sit on the ground and apply gentle pressure with a foot. In combination with the Deluxe Cot Pad it make a first class sleeping arrangement.

finally a good sleep while camping

My Alaskan guide cot has not changed my life but It has enabled me sleep and to enjoy camping again which comes close to changing my life. I am a big guy 6'2" 275 lbs with broad shoulders. This cot supports me comfortably, I can roll around while sleeping and put my feet on the ground when getting up. These are first rate cots sturdy, professional grade, the best I could find after extensive cot research. I don't hesitate to recommend them.

Sleep like a baby!

Great cot. Heavy, but knew that when I bought it. With a self inflating mattress it's hard to beat. Now I just need a tent with more vertical walls that it will fit into. Very roomy and sturdy. Highly recommend if packability is not an issue.

Perfect Product for Base Camp

You're not hiking with this thing, but that's not what it's made for. It is VERY COMFORTABLE. I've slept on military cots, and almost bought one of Cabela's to spec, but opted for the Alaskan. I'm glad I did \u2014 I'm 6' 190 lbs and I don't touch the sides or the ends LAID OUT. Add a self inflating sleeping pad and you're set brother. Happy base camping.
