Cabela's Alaskan Guide® Mummy Sleeping Bag

Engineered to withstand the rigors of Alaska, this sleeping bag keeps you warm and protected in any environment. The ultratough DuraShield T3™ ripstop nylon shell is water-resistant, downproof and breathable. The 220T cotton liner is as warm, soft and comfortable as flannel sheets. The top’s slant-box construction is filled with our 650-fill-power Premier Northern® Goose Down. Since the down is not compressed and permitted to loft, it efficiently traps and holds maximum heat. Cabela’s Outfitter Loft™ XP insulation effectively traps warmth under the compression of your body weight while blocking the ground’s chill from below. The 3-D construction creates sidewalls for a roomy sleeping compartment. Nightsight™ drawcords let you cinch the fully enclosed hood and chest tubes easily in the dark. ZipGlide™ fabric bands prevent zipper snags. Exterior pocket. Imported.

Best sleeping bag I have ever owned!

I bought this sleeping bag after waking up to 6 inches of snow and freezing my butt off on a Memorial Day camping trip in California. I vowed to never freeze again. This sleeping bag has not let me down. I purchased the -40 bag 6 yrs ago and have been very pleased. I have camped in some cold conditions and this sleeping bag will keep you nice and warm. I highly recommend this product.

A very good nights sleep

I purchased an earlier version of the -40 degree Mummy sleeping bag at the beginning of 2011.
I have used it several times throughout the year. A lot of my camping is done in the late winter, early spring while steelhead fishing and again in the fall and winter during the hunting seasons in the Idaho mountains. I have been very impressed with the warmth and comfort of this bag as well as its pack-ability.
I have used it on several pack-in hunting trips. Even though it is heavier than most back packing bags I can compress it down to easily fit on my pack frame and I get a better night sleep than with my lighter bags. In the winter camping I only need to use my Alaskan Guide bag instead of two of my other sleeping bags.
The bag is very roomy and the inside of the bag is very comfortable. I would recommend this bag to anyone that wants to sleep warm and comfortable when camping in cold weather. I have used it on warmer nights where I have to leave it partially unzipped. I don\u2019t get the hot sweaty feeling in the bag due to its upper insulation and breathability.

I used this on a elk hunt where the lows were around 5*. We camped for 10 nights and i never got cold other than my head. Cant wait to try it out next year again!!!
