Worked as advertised
Date:
Installed on my Benelli SBE and aligned the windage. At 25 steps I was dead on target, no further adjustment needed. On 5/19/10 called in a nice WI long beard and the rest is history. These sights are especially welcome as I need reading glasses, but I can see the sights with my naked eye.

Gun Sight, my thoughts
Date:
I’ve tried lots of different sights over the years for water fowl & upland hunting I have determined that a front sight needs is to be small & low profile & the number one thing is to be bomb proof. It has to stay on the barrel thru all the stuff we put our guns thru, mud, boat ride, truck ride, trees, dogs, getting dropped, you name it. The HiViz CompSight is the best I’ve found. Leave the metal factory bead on the gun for protection the sight & epoxy the HiViz behind it.
So with that said, I picked the Truglo® Tru-Point™ Turkey Sight for three reasons, 1) needed to have three pin fiber optic, front & rear, 2) need to be very low profile, 3) needed to be removable so I could use the same gun for other hunting.
Note: I added some finger nail polish to help hold / glue the sight on the rib, it also lets you know if the sight has moved & if re-sighting in is needed.
When I missed my first turkey of the season (buck fever on a walking bird, not fault of the sight) the bird turned & ran straight at me. I dropped him on a dead run at 7 yds. With the low profile sight, I just shot like I would at a duck or pheasant, point & shoot.( not a bunch of stuff on the barrel to block line of sight)
My next turkey came thru the brush & spotted me at 10 yds. As he was sneaking away I only had a left handed shot, but with the three fiber optics beads on the barrel I got the beads & his head in a line & dropped him dead. Here again a simple three pin sight helped a lot in taking an off hand shot.
Good luck guys………
