    I Lost the front sight on my 870 remington because of neglect , Cabelas help me fix the problem with making TRUGLO replacement sights available.... the front sight fitted right on... A+ to cabelas on service!! 5 stars

    A Great Idea Poorly Constructed

    I love the idea and usefulness of these sights. I hate the poor quality of the plastic construction and the unavailability of replacement fiber rods. Luckily, Cabela's stands behind what they sell and replaced the TruGlo sights each time they fail. Perhaps they could persuade the manufacturer to 1) make replacement rods available for ALL models and 2) install the rods so that they don't break so easily and or fall out. I've used a drop of super glue to hold the rods in place but can't stop them from randomly breaking with no rhyme or reason.

    The fiber fell out of the front sight within 1 week of having been purchased and without the gun having been fired. It was a waste of time and money.

    Very bright, but very easily broken!!!

    The rear GREEN sight is very bright, but the RED front sight
    is barely visible. Also, the PLASTIC front sight broke after just two days in the mountains. Replace the front sight with a METAL one such as HiViz Sights #DOVM-315 or DOVM-380 (These come with 6 LitePipes; 3 Green and 3 Red in various diameters and a key to interchange the LitePipes). I am quite sure that Cabelas can get these because they carry other HiViz products (ie. #UNI2006 and RG1001).
