The most advanced, portable hot-water-producing unit you can buy. All you need is a water source , a 1-lb. propane cylinder (not included) and a fully charged unit to enjoy hot water and showers in remote areas. Push-button digital controls monitor the temperature of incoming water and allow you to set the temperature of water outflow from 86°F to 125°F. Push-button on and off for the pump and the water outlet. Digital readout displays battery and flame status. Dual outlets for the included shower hose and tap. Built-in regulator for propane cylinder. Electrical components are powered by a rechargeable battery with a 40-minute run time. If electricity is available, the unit can be run directly from a 12-volt DC power source. Included 6.5-ft. shower hose with shower head. Connect to the water source with the included 8.2-ft. silicone hoses with quick-connect fittings. Comes with AC and DC adapters and a carry bag.

I would highly recommend this portable water heater to anyone who has ever thought of buying anything of the type. The unit worked every bit as well as advertised right out of the box. Even if the similar products offered by other manufacturers work, I highly doubt that they would be nearly this well laid out, automated, and overall practical enough to be worth using. This is by far the smartest, automatic portable water heater I have seen.

This is the first unit where all of the details that make it a home run have been considered. The hose lengths on the shower attachment are actually long enough for it to be usable, without having to customize it yourself prior to taking it anywhere. Powerful pump, great pressure. There is an on/off valve on the shower attachment, which allows you to turn it off there momentarily and not at the unit itself. When the water flow stops, the flame promptly extinguishes, and immediately reignites when the water flow resumes. Fully automated, extremely efficient! 18k BTU burner! With the flame at maximum and the flow at minimum, I observe about a 35 degree (F) temperature gain. If the supply water is hot enough for the output to exceed 120F, it automatically extinguishes the flame until the output temperature cools below this threshold.

FANTASTIC water heater. It appears expensive, but considering it includes the AC/DC charging cables and a decent carrying bag, coupled with its great performance, it is well worth it.

After much anticipation,i finally received my new Basecamp portable shower,and it works AWESOME!
Using just a 5 gallon bucket i had more than enough water to enjoy a ten minute 111 degree shower while at my favorite river spot.

The water pressure was more than adequate,and at one point it actually got almost too hot to handle.The battery life could be improved somewhat,after a 5 minute test run and a ten minute shower the battery gauge showed about half,but showed no signs of slowing the pump down.
This little unit will be going with me on every camping trip (hopefully)for a long long time.We will see how it does in the long run,but its a definate two thumbs way way up right out of the box,and i highly recommend it to anyone that misses their nice hot shower back at home.
