MEC® 650N Reloader

  • Maximum performance with minimum effort
  • Separate precision resizing operation
  • Works six shells in various stages at a time
  • MEC Progressive Primer Feed
All MEC reloaders incorporate features that produce shotshells that will outperform factory loads at a fraction of the price. These top-quality features include: flip-top measure to permit powder and shot containers to be inserted or removed without spillage, adjustable rammer tube for applying proper wad-column pressure, cam-operated crimp for precise crimping and closing pressure, automatic primer feed, Spindex2 crimp starter for automatic rotation and realignment on the original factory crimp.
The 650 delivers maximum performance with minimum effort, and a separate resizing operation for shooters who wish to inspect each shell for precision. Works six shells in various stages at a time. Each handle stroke produces a shell rivaling factory loads. Includes new MEC Progressive Primer Feed. Three-stage crimping. The final station tapers the shell to assure smooth feeding. Made in USA.

Mec 650
Date:
I loaded my shotshells for 18 years on a MEC 77 Sizemaster. It worked great but when you shoot a minimum of 5,000 shotgun shells a year, it is too slow. My rate was 7 or 8 boxes an hour if I am really hauling butt. I bought a 650 because I needed a faster machine. I can load 10-12 boxes an hour now without breaking a sweat. At first, I had a lot of spilled shot until I got a good rhythm going and now I am almost spill free. I attribute the spillage to the many thousands of rounds loaded on the 77 Sizemaster and the muscle memory that needed to be unlearned. This is the only reason that I did not give it a 5 star rating.

Good 410 Reloader
Date:
I found the MEC 650N 410 Reloader to be better than most other 410 reloaders. It gives a good crimp, has a large capacity primer tray, but the charge bar does not spring all the way back to release the powder on the upswing. This will allow the powder to continue to flow after the arm is all the way up. To overcome the powder mess just manually push the the charge bar all the way to the right during the up stroke.

Great product
Date:
I haven't reloaded shotgun shells in 30 years and decided to do it again. After researching various reloading presses, I decided to purchase the MEC 650. It was very easy to set up(if you read the directions). It produces shells that rival factory reloads. Great product.
