Not for me

Only brand shell to make a Super x3 into an autojammer. Can not use this shell even after having chamber polished. Gun works perfect with anything else.

20 gauge Sporting Clays Claybuster
Date:
Awesome performance from #7 shot in 20-gauge. Performs like #8 lead, but breaks clay targets at longer ranges due to larger pellet diameter. Higher speed makes a difference, and these pattern very well. A modified choke in 20-gauge and I'm busting targets my 12-gauge buddies are missing cause the're "too far." Closer up, these turn clays to dust. Buy it for the performance.

works fine for me

I bought this #7 steel in order to combine dove hunting with goose hunting. Where I hunt there is a large population of residential geese as well as dove. Since it is illegal to have any lead shot in your possession while hunting waterfowl we have had to watch flocks of geese land in our fields while dove hunting and have sat in our goose blinds for hours while dove fly all around us. Last week my partner and I spent two days on a lake and bagged both geese and dove. Only problem was changing ammo to fit the bird, but next time we'll probably just take 2 guns each. Had quite a
few hits at long range and most misses can be blamed on skill, not ammo. My biggest problem is finding this ammo in game load(#7). OldGator

winchester xpert game and target #6 shot
Date:
From what I can tell so far, these are excellent rounds. I haven't had a chance to do any formal pattern testing, but the field results have so far been A+. I shoot a Remington 870 express super magnum with a Kicks high flyer extended ported modified choke. I shot several squirrels today with the 12 gauge 2 3/4 #6 rounds, ranging from small reds, to a couple large greys. Shots were all under 20 yards due to it being early in the season, there is still a lot of foliage still on the trees and shrubs, and visibility was severely restricted, and I'm not the kind of hunter that unloads through the bush (we all have seen it and you know who you are that do it) when a leaf crunches. All were instant kills. One word of caution, there are a lot of pellets in these shells due to the steel being lighter than lead, there is significantly more shot when compared to a lead load of similar weight. They will leave a lot of pellets in game. The 2 large grey squirrels I shot today had at least 2 dozen pellets lodged in the skin on the far side so if your shooting for the pot, be careful and pick out the pellets. Otherwise the dentist might be looking forward to seeing you. all in all, so far these have been great. i also have some #7 to try on the trap range.
