It seems every lead shotgun shell is 2 3/4" or that you have to really save up for the good 3" shells for a box of ten that were intended for turkeys. Since you waste a good portion of a box just trying, you might as well just get the best bang for your dollar.

groups better than turkey loads!

I tested these 2 3/4 shells up against some federal turkey shells today of equal length. both #5 shot. I found that using a full choke that these 'pheasant' shells patterned far tighter that the federals. at twenty yards there wasn't a head left on the turkey to count, with the federals leaving about 30 in the target zone. at 45 yards the pheasants put about 12-19 in the vitals while the 'turkey' federal shells topped about about 2-6. Granted I'm not the best shot, several tests were done showing the same general results. for cheaper and seemingly more effective shells, these are my go-to. but ever gun is different right? It seems the only April fools with these loads is what they are labeled to be used for.

Bagged three pheasant yesterday 40 to 50 yards out with #5's and a modified choke. Dropped like a rock and I was really impressed.
Those were the only shots I took as the darned dog was working too far out.
Am running out to get more in 5's and 4's as we have three more months on the pheasant farms.
