i love this stuff i was using black cloud but kept having to shoot twice but one shot with this stuff puts them down.

My 870 loves these shells

I live in a city, so when i visited my family over Christmas who live in the boondocks i took that opportunity to pattern my shotgun, a Remington 870 supermag with a modified Briley choke. I used several different brands of 3inch #2 shot, which included kent silver steel, kent fasteel, remington nitro, winchester expert high velocity, black cloud, hevi-shot, and of course winchester blind side.

At 35 yards, there was only two contenders...hevi-shot and blind side. I could not tell a difference between the two, but all the others performed very very poorly comparatively. Given that hevi-shot costs much more than blind side I am sticking with blind side. Already bought a case of it, no more wondering how my gun shoots....damg good with this blind sode shot.

As for destroying the flesh, i will know more about yhat in 3 days...hinting on thr Chesapeake....but i know i won't care if it does im going to cut it up any way so who cares if it is mangled.

Don't waste your money

I shoot a Remington Versamax and have tried every choke tube it came with plus all of my Kicks High Flyers and a couple Vortex tubes. This stuff is terrible. 3" #2 shot patterns decent on paper but the shot string is so bad, with fast flying divers or passing puddlers, you can hang it up. I bought 3 boxes and after the first box I had killed 1 Pintail. I'm using the last 2 boxes as decoy weights.
