Hammer fast-moving targets at 1,700 fps with the fastest steel on the market. It shortens leads by up to 8" at 40 yards, knocking down more birds and fewer tail feathers. Its increased velocity delivers the speed you need to get in front of ducks and geese and puts more pellets in vital areas, like the head and neck, without affecting how you normally aim. Remington harnessed two-stage ignition technology to safely accelerate full-shot payloads to hypersonic speed. Its newly designed primer starts by lighting a smaller powder charge, which moves the payload forward to safely manage the pressure of the primary powder charge. During primary charge ignition, its exclusive Xelerator™ wad delivers tighter downrange patterns and improved long-range hit potential. 25 shells per box. Per box.

Very good shell for the price

Not sure what everybody is talking about with these shells breaking their guns. I bought these in 3" #2's when they first released. I ran them through a 10+ year old Remington 870 with no misfires, jams or feed failures. I then bought more and put them through my Benelli Super Nova. Again no problems. My hunting buddy put them through his Mossberg 935 and low and behold no problems. My other buddy has used them in his Mossberg pump(can't remember model) again with no issues. They definitely kick more than your average shell but the payoff is well worth it. I would compare the kick in the 3" shell to the 3 1/2" in Hevi Metal. I haven't patterned them in any of the aforementioned guns but they've definitely put down some ducks. As to the review stating having shot at a wounded teal 6 times and not killed it. That goes both ways. I've done that with the one and only box of Black Cloud ammo I ever bought. The only difference, it was a Gadwall and we ended up actually killing it after chasing it for a quarter mile across the lake. Bottom line, this is a solid shell. Everyone will have a different experience but mine has only been positive.

These shells are way to fast for puddle ducks and geese. They only cripple them. They are only good for cripples, sea ducks, and diving ducks. Black Clouds are so much better.

Not sure they are an improvement

I went through six boxes during duck season. Not sure that they were an improvement over the cheaper Remington hi-speed. They worked fine, but I think a few times I was over leading with them, and a few times they did not cycle in my Benelli SBE II. Just not sure they were worth the money.

broke my gun

I shot 1 shell 3" 2 shot at a wounded teal that got up to fly away at about 65 yards and it dropped dead but it broke my extractor on my benelli SBE2 now im afaid to shoot any more
