Great Pheasant Ammo

I have used Kent Fast Lead for pheasants in both 12 and 20 gauge and have always been pleased with the results. I think this is much better than most of the more popular and more expensive brands of ammo for pheasant/upland bird hunting.

Good Pheasant Load #6

In preparation for my first bird hunt in six years I stopped by the Reno store to pick up some ammo. The Cabela's associate recommended the Kent shells. I was dubious at first about the low base looking brass but he assured me I would be satisfied. He was right. In spite of my lousy shotgun skills I bagged five birds in six shots and my hunting partner was so impressed with the performance he plans to try them next time. I had some different brand hi base 6's with me and I found the recoil of the Kent's to be about the same. These are good shells and I would not hesitate to use them again.

Pheasant Hunt

I purchased 4 boxes of this for a hunt we were going on in late October and early November in ND. We were shooting the 1350 fps load in 6, 5, and 4 shot with 2 3/4 length. The No 6 shot was a little light to bring the birds down with out hitting them 2X. We went to the 4 and 5 shot size and it was one shot one kill. I want to try the 1450 fps shot for next years hunt. The only thing that I have noticed about this ammo is it is a little on the dirty side. It also will not beat your sholder up shooting it. You can't go wrong with these loads. The price isn't that bad either.

These are the best shells I have ever shot. The only thing that I would compare to them would be the Federal Premium Ultras which I can't find anymore.
