Put the odds in your favor every time the shot is called. Pattern-Density Technology™ consistently packs more pellets than steel loads into a 40-yd. pattern for fowl-folding results. Tests showed an average of 138 No. 2 Hevi-Metal pellets patterned in a 30" circle at 40 yds., compared to 111 No. 2 steel pellets at the same distance. The effectiveness of these hard-hitting loads doesn’t stop with superior pattern density. The sharp-edged pellets have deeper penetration than similar-size steel shot. 25 shells per box.

Best waterfowl ammo ever!!!

These Hevi-Metal waterfowl loads absolutely rock! They put birds down and in your bag. Since shooting them on ducks and geese I get no cripples, just dead birds. They hit hard and fast. Yeah they are a little more $ than other shells, but you will shoot less so it equals out. Buy some today and put more birds in your bag.

I've found this has more down range power and better a pattern at distance. Another difference is less drift in the wind. Gives me an extra 10-20 yds over my buddies that still shoot steel. Well worth a few bucks more for more birds.

Poor Performance

I've used Hevi-Metal #3s in my 12 gauge for the last few week and they just aren't performing for me. Out of ~30 ducks all but maybe 5 took a kill hot on the water to finish them off. I hate crippling ducks and I really hate watching them fly off with less feathers then they came in with. Tightening up the choke helped, but not enough to make me want to stay with these shells. Winchester Supremes have treated me well for several years and I'm going back to them.

Best shot I have used yet! Shot with an 870 12g with a Pattern Master long range choke tube. I have killed 4 ducks so far and folded them up quick. Shot one at over 50 yards. I will never shoot anything else. Shot over a dozen loads into paper from 60yds to 30yds. Patterned great. Thanks to Hevi-shot for making a great waterfowl load that doesn't hurt the wallet.
