Vanguard Quick Stick Bipod

I purchased the smaller model and am unhappy with the overall height. In order to shoot from sitting position, the bipod legs are too far extended, and sometimes slip. There seems to be no reason why the legs couldn't be shorter being that in the highest position, they would accommodate someone 8ft tall.
However, design and construction are satisfactory.
