Easily attaches to 12- or 20-gauge shotgun barrels. V-Pod is forked at the bottom to provide a stable, balanced shooting platform. Vertically adjustable from 15-1/2" to 32-1/2". V-Pod pivots to allow a wide range of motion and put you in position for any shot angle. Includes gun stock buddy that supports the stock of the gun to free you up for hands-free calling.
After purchasing Hunter's Specialties\u2019 V-Pod Shooting Stick I will never go turkey hunting without one ever again! Unlike other shooting sticks out there that require a hunter to keep at least one hand on it at all times this one is truly hands free!. With the unique design of V shape prongs that extend from the bottom of the shooting stick your gun stays steadily up right all by itself enabling you to have two hands free. This is exceptionally beneficial for a hunter hunting alone to be able to do some friction or box calling which typically requires using both hands. Also being that the shooting stick is attached directly to your gun a hunter never has to worry about miss placing or forgetting his shooting stick ever again.
I hunted with this V-pod for two season attached to my Benelli M1 super 90. Worked good until the lower v struts rounded off where they meet the main strut. Now it's junk. I'm switching to a mono pod or just use the knee pad. Too bad, I've had good luck with H.S. products otherwise.
I bought this product when it first came out a few years back and thought it was the perfect rest for my 1187 that I use Turkey Hunting. It works well from most sitting positions as long as you are not perched to high. That is the disadvantage of a folding, small, shooting rest. It is a perfect height for most turkey hunting seats on the market. The dual rest makes it stable and it is easily adjustable. While it does need to be removed to fit into most cases, the rest is easy to detach. I was upset to see this leave the market for a couple of years and had to buy a LazyLeg for my fiance when she started hunting. Now that the V-pod is back on the market, I am throwing away the LazyLeg and getting her this one. Glad to see it is back.
