Smart Purchase for the Beginner

Since I'm a beginner at reloading I bought this DVD to get me started. After I watched I asked a friend to review who was a long time reloader. He asked be where I got it because he wanted to get one. He stated when you have long periods of time between reloads that he often refers back to the books but that this DVD makes it even more simple to brush up with on techniques.

Complete Waste

Unless you are totally clueless, this is a complete waste of money. Some of the reviewers mentioned that it would be a good review--which is why I purchased it. It's been a few years since I reloaded. But as others have mentioned, this was nothing more than RCBS's way of hawking their own porduct.
They (RCBS) did nothing more than cover the absolute bare bones of reloading. You would be much better off purchasing a good reloading manual and really learning about reloading. My book is the Lee Manual, but mine is about 15 years old. My manual even covered reduced loads. It is an outstanding book, and I'll just go and brush up on that. 'Save your money and purchase an updated reloading manual that includes a comprehensive how to.

as a new reloader It was very helpfull in getting me started. the only thing that could have been done a little bit better was some of the procedures at the end of each section were not explained to their fullest. when you started the next step you weren't up to date on the entire last step so you had to go back and watch the video much more closely and not listen to the audio in that portion of the tape. nothing teaches like doing it your self so you can fill in between the lines with a little practice. I would recommend this dvd for the beginner because it gets you started in the right direction. thanks for letting me give some input on your product. sincerley swanster
