Defect in lens retaining feature
Date:
I have been using the ColorMag CMT lenses for quite some time. I found them quite useful for sporting clays as they really highlight the orange color on the clays.
Recently I replaced an old set of CMT lenses with a new pair from Cabela. Unfortunately I am returning these lenses for an exchange.
The lenses are retained in the frame by detents in the lenses. On one of the lenses the detent appears to be the incorrect size and consequently the lens kept falling out.

Not very happy.
Date:
The first time I looked thru a pair of these I thought they were the greatest thing since sliced bread, but in the real world of sporting clays you loose to much detail in the wooded targets. They may be great for trap or skeet, but on a semi-wooded clays stand they will mess you up. Please do not spend the money!

Perform as advertised, with caveats
Date:
Under full sun these lenses make the targets electric against the green background of grass and leaves.
Under overcast / dark conditions they are too dark and the contrast is not as great. I doubt they would be much of an advantage in fall with all the orange leaves, but we'll see.
Definitely a plus for fast crossing birds with lots of distractions. Now my primary spring/summer lenses.

Gret Lens But . . .
Date:
These are great lenses unless you are in low light. If you get into low light, especially with shadows or fall in the Northeast with lots of orange in the leaves, the picture starts to change.
