Shotshell Reloading Handbook Lyman 5th Ed.
Date:
This was my first experience with shotshell reloading. I received this book with a Lee Load All Shotshell reloader for 16-gauge shells. I found the book to be very informative and easy to understand. If you are going to reload shells then you need this book as it discusses safety and gives detailed specifications on how to re-load different types of loads into different brands of spent shells. Overall safety is repeated throughout the book.
The only reason I gave this book 4-stars is that it does not have any sort of resource guide. As I stated before I have a 16-gauge which is becoming more difficult to find shells for. However, my new problem has become where to find wadding (sabot) for 16 gauge shells. The book also sold me on the idea of using new Bismuth shot, as a lead alternative, however I cannot find it. You should also know that Cabela's stocks a wide variety of powder for reloading, however federal regulation requires that a hazardous materials charge be added to shipping fees. The extra fees make purchasing powder and primers online quite expensive. I would suggest that you determine if you local gun shop carries powders and primers for your type of shell.... if you don't live near a Cabela's retail store

I bought this to learn about shotshell reloading. The lyman manual is very clear, covers a wide range of reloading topics and has many tips for reloading a variety of shotshell loads. This is a "must have" for the shotshell reloader, beginner or experienced.
