I bought one of these and found that since I have considerable hearing loss in both ears, I had a difficult time telling the direction of sounds. So I bought a second game ear. Game ears have controls so that sound levels can be set in the field, depending on conditions like wind. I recently hunted turkeys with these game ears and was able to hear both hens yelping and toms gobble. Without the game ears, I would have heard nothing. They are a must for someone with significant hearing loss.
Very easy to use , It really enhances your hearing. Does a nice job. I feel it should have a better way to hang from your ear. I wouldn't want to loose it.
The HD X works perfectly for me, and battery life is exceptional. I spent a little time getting the tube length right and experimenting with the sound settings at first, but haven't had to change a thing since.
Purchased the Elete HD Pro. Its almost like having a bionic ear. I can hear things I couldn't hear without it. There is olny one problem. There is a noticeable background hissing. When driving and its quiet I have to remove the hearing aid because that hissing is annoying. Adjusting the AFT did not help. I called Walker's and they recommend that I return it to Cabela's and get another one. I hope the next one does not have this problem. It definitely improves my hearing.
