I've had this Hornady Lock-N-Load Ultra Sonic Gun Parts Cleaner for a bit over a week.
When I first received it, I field stripped one of my Sig P220's and put it in the basket in a solution of Gilby Ultrasonic cleaning solution. I run it about 30 minutes at 120 degrees. When I took it out it was as clean as when the pistol first came out of the box.
Next thing was the cylender of a Stainless Ruger Vaquero. The front of the cylinder around the charge holes were black. There had been several thousand rounds fired through this revolver in Cowboy Action Shooting, with a through cleaning after each match. Never could get the fowling off the front of the cylender. I run it 30 minutes at 120 degrees in the same solution. Most of the discoloration was still there. I then mixed a solution of 1 part white vinegar, 7 parts tap water, and a good squirt of my wifes dish soap. I again ran it 30 at 120 and it came out completely shiney clean. I was amazed.
Next I tried some .45 ACP brass cases. I used the Lyman Case Cleaner concentrate mixing it with tap water. I ran it about 45 minutes at 120 degrees and they were all sparkling clean in and out.
This unit deserves more than 5 stars but that's the limit.

Hornady Sonic cleaner

Don't waste your money, at least fo the cleaning gun parts. Placed two AR bolts and parts in and ran three full cycles. Did not clean off the carbon. Still had to scrape by hand. Extra large is 4.75Wx3.75Dx9.75L. Cannot clean my 22 revolver. Didn't even try to clean brass. Sending back.
