Shelter
Date:
This is a very good shelter. Kind of hard to set up at first, but after you do it a time or two you should be able to set it up in several minutes with ease. The pre-cut holes are in each corner of the shelter. Two of them have enough room for side by side holes (though i would not recommend fishing from both due to the lines being rather close, its nice if you have a sonar or underwater camera though.) and once you get the shack set up there is PLENTY of room. I own this shack and i can honestly say you can fit three people in it comfortably (Two with lots of gear). What I like best about it is the fact that I can stand up in it without hitting my head. It has four windows, one on each side so it allows plenty of light in. When it gets dark you can put the flaps back over them so you don't let light out. Another thing i really like about this shelter is the fact that you get a floor under your feet. This helps keep a lot of heat in. You will probably want to look into getting some ice anchors to secure it to the ice as well, because without snow on the ice, these shacks do have a tendency to slide across the lake. It also heats very well with a medium sized heater. All in all I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a spacious yet portable shack.

I bought this to replace a smaller shelter I've had for 3 years for a little more room and thicker fabric, stability in strong wind... etc. When I got it home, I set it up in my garage, 3 of the pins to hold the lift frame up were not installed propery and the lift rods were really really tight - much to tight to dry setting up in the wind on the ice when it's 0 degrees out. After reassembling properly, replacing some of the factory hardware, and re-stiching 3 velcro strips on due to faulty factory stiching, I feel like this will do the job. It is, unfortunate that, for the price, you can't get a quality product anymore. So, if you're not handy -- I would not recommend this, If you can sew and have a good head on you to - try it. Hopefully, you'll have a better experiance than I did. Good luck & happy fishing!
