Browning® Silver Semiautomatic Shotgun

A sharp-looking, straight-shooting semiautomatic shotgun that any hunter would be proud to own. Its aluminum-alloy receiver sports a semi-humpback design and silver finish that contrasts nicely with the blued barrel and satin-finish walnut stock. Browning's self-adjusting Active Valve gas system uses gas from fired shells to operate the action. When shooting light loads, most of the gases are diverted to operate the action. With magnum loads, only the minimum amount of gas necessary is used to operate the action, while the majority of the gases are vented through the Active Valve and out the top of the forearm and away from the action. This reduces fouling and effectively reduces recoil. The 28" barrel has a lightweight profile and ventilated rib with a 3" chamber. Comes with three Invector-Plus™ choke tubes that work hand-in-hand with Vector Pro and back-boring to offer consistent, dense shot patterns with just the constriction needed for the shooting situation.

Most Reliable Gun In My Safe

Let me start out by saying most of my shotguns are Beretta's which i love and always will. However, this Browning Silver Hunter costs half of what some of my high end Beretta's cost yet is just as reliable, accurate, looks great, feels great, etc. I would put them as head to head competitors any day of the week. Overall, one of the best guns i own.

Have the 12 ga Silver Hunter for 2 years now. Thousands of rounds in very hot & very cold conditions. Works like a charm every time. Easy to clean, points well, fit and finish excellent. Very low felt recoil. I use slip2000 piston cleaner and this makes cleaning the piston a breeze. Walnut stock and forearm look great.
If it fits well, YES you want this one.

greatest semi auto ever used

This gun is terrific it shoots low weight 2 3/4 shells for target or grouse like nothing and can handle 3 1/2 for geese like a champ. the only thing i do not like about it is that the camo finish from browning comes scratches and chips eassier than anything. but if you don't mind how it will look in a week of use then don't go for any other.
