Cabela's Trail Tuff V-Hull Outboard Boat Cover

  • 600-denier, polyester, water-resistant, UV-resistant fabric
  • Quick-release mooring straps every 30" with 600-lb. break strength
  • Drawcord closure for a tight fit while traveling
  • Double-needle seam construction
Our Tuff Trail boat covers deliver maximum boat protection during trailering and storage. Constructed of heavy-duty 600-denier polyester water-resistant fabric, they're 3-1/2 times stronger than traditional canvas covers and are finished with a water- and stain-repellent fabric treatment. Double- needle seam construction using tough polyester thread and fully reinforced at all stress areas. Includes 600-lb.-break-strength trailering strap system with side-seam placement every 30". Six-year warranty.
Boat cover does not come with a motor cover.

Poor Performance from a Boat Cover

I purchased this boat cover in April 2009. By May 2011 it had failed in three ways.
1. The mooring straps were completely rotted and just disintegrated when pulled tightly.
2. The drawcord pulled apart during a road trip. I had to replace the cord with a nylon cord that I had available. The original drawcord was not useable after the first year. It appeared to have rotted.
3. The polyester fabric pulled apart in places like it had no internal strength.
This cover worked fine for the summers of 2009 and 2010. By the spring of 2011 it was completely unserviceable. It was certainly not a six-year product. I would consider this product to be marginal and not up to the quality of other boat covers I have purchased from Cabela\u2019s.

Bad Straps and cinch rope

My straps dry rotted in 11 months and the cinch rope broke. I think this could be a great cover IF you replaced the straps and rope with quality products as soon as you get it, but who's gonna do that? And I didn't have it long enough to know it the cover would also rot so there it is. No problem getting Cabelas to take it back. This is my third cover from Cabelas and none have lasted over three years and they've taken every one back.

Great Cover, Horrible Straps!

Today I have ordered my THIRD cover due to the straps dry rotting. One great thing about Cabela's is that they stand behind their products 100% for SIX years on this product! Great cover but Cabela's quality control has a lot of work to do on the straps!

Junk Straps
