Cabela's Ratchet-Tite Boat Cover - V-Hull Fishing

The new Rope Ratchet® system allows for quick and easy tie down and a secure fit. Tie-down straps on the V-hull model attach quickly around the trailer frame and provide a snug fit. Plus, removable trailering straps allow you to use the cover for mooring, storage and trailering. Cover is constructed of 600 x 600-denier water-resistant polyester with double-needle stitched seams and a mold- mildew- and UV-resistant finish. Includes a separate motor hood. Seven-year warranty.

My boat is stored outdoors in the Arizona mountain sun. The fabric seems to be deteriorating after 1 1/2 years. The plastic device provided to prop up the cover is too flimsy. Mine broke after a couple of weeks. The cover fills with water after a rain or snow storm.
This is probably a good cover for a boat stored under a shelter. However, if it is to be exposed to any weather, it needs a better support system--perhaps some bows, as suggested by another reviewer.

I got this cover last year. The first trip out and the motor cover came apart at the seams. I thought no big deal the cover made it and that is what was important. I took another trip about 500 miles cover fine on way down but when I got back the cover was coming apart at the seams. Sent it back to manufacture, according to the paperwork after received it will be three days and the will ship out new or repaired cover. It was over a month before I got different cover back. I do mean different cover; I sent in the ratchet tite cover and got a completely different cover back. This one is not even close to what I sent in and this one only has 5 year warranty. Gonna call manufacture to see what the deal is on this cover. Otherwise just want $ back
I had issue with the way the straps were on old cover, they attach to trailer frame and connect to cover. This is fine when cover is on, but when cover is off the straps drag on ground and could get run over if the straps are long by the wheels.

Very poor desigen at the transom end, the cut out for motor is to large. It extends to far in to the boat and allows water and dust ect. to enter the boat. Also no tie down for the motor cut out area so it flaps in the wind. And will fray or cause ware to motor and attached lines. The tarp tie straps are poor quality and are desigened to attach to the trailer for towing and must be secured when putting boat in the water or you may back over and snap them. Product specialist gave no indication of any problems on purchase, but then called about the issues was very aware of them.

I bought this for my 1998 Sea Nymph which I had a hard time finding a cover that would fit. The boat is 16 feet long but only 67 inches wide. This cover fits a lot better than my last one. So far so good.
