Cabela's Ratchet Lok Boat Covers – Bass and Walleye

The elements can take a toll on outdoor equipment, especially boats and boat covers that are constantly exposed to weather extremes. The Bass and Walleye cover fits high-pedestal chairs. Includes seperate motor cover. Our Ratchet Lok Boat Covers are built to take on the weather and keep your watercraft protected for many seasons to come. We build these covers out of 600-denier, high-density, pigment-coated polyester that is resistant to mildew, abrasion, water penetration and UV rays. Seams are double-needle-stitched with tough polyester thread and fully reinforced in major stress areas – including the bow, stern and windshield. Three removable quick-release mooring straps on each side help eliminate stress and rub areas that could damage your boat's finish. All covers come complete with heavy-duty web strapping sewn into the hem, and two heavy-duty ratchets at the stern for a secure fit.

Just received my boat cover and just in time as T Storms are on the way. After some initial settup time this cover fit like a glove on my Nitro Z-7. As others have suggested I downsized my order but only by 6 inches. Glad I didn't go smaller as my boat is 94 inches wide and the length is not the primary concern.
For half than what Nitro wanted for theirs I am very happy with this decision. Not quite as heavy but quite sufficient.
After some summer T storms and trailering I will post another review but for now I am pleased. And Yes it could use two more straps per side. I will put them on using the straps from my old cover.

So close...but comes up short

Cabelas came close to knocking this one out of the park, but instead it's a long single off the green monster.
The cover is rugged and fits my boat like a glove. I have a Stratos 283 and the 18'6" cover fits it perfectly. But with only 3 straps on each side, it does not trailer well at highway speeds. Two more straps on each side would have made this a very good cover. The outboard motor cover is at least twice the size of my Fastrike outboard and also useless for trailering.
For storage, it's a really solid cover, but I would not recommend this for trailering.

I ordered and recieved this boat cover with following reccomendations from previous reviewers. It fit very well and seems to be of excellent quality. As others have stated, motor cover is universal for larger motors and would not make a road trip. I bought exactly the size of my boat, NOT a size larger as reccomended! we will see how it holds up but very easy to install. Good looking cover and well made, 6 years? we will see!

This is a great cover and preforms very well. I bought one size down I got the 17'6" for my 18' Ranger and it fits like a glove with pedestal seats in. Some reveiws say it needs more tie downs, but i feel that it toes great how it is. Most importantly this cover does a very good job at keeping the elements out. I have had it for just over a year and so far so good!
