Designed specifically for the bowhunter, TimberFleece 360° is a soft, quiet, windproof, synthetic performance fabric that provides excellent scent control. TimberFleece products are light enough for early-season hunts, but equally adept at blocking out the chill as temperatures drop. The Jacket is styled for excellent mobility. I recently bought this top. I hunt in Northern MN and took a gamble at buying this for late season bow hunting. Too many garments for late season are advertised as "quiet" but are too loud for bow hunting. This jacket is DEAD SILENT! It definitely is not made for super cold weather but I layered underneath it pretty significantly and stayed warm in 15 deg weather with a steady 15-25 mph wind in late December. I was still very mobile and had no problem drawing my bow. It is not wind proof but I wore a windproof vest underneath and I could tell the difference on my body versus my arms. It might slow down the wind, but wind proof it is not. I ordered the 3XL so I could layer underneath. 2XL would have been too tight for layering but good for early to mid season light layering. I am 6'3" 210 lbs. Fit was very good. Arm length was great. Body length was great.
One SUPER negative is that the garment does not have a draw cord around the waist - this is a design flaw. IMHO this should be standard on all hunting garments - I don't get why it is not. For a cheap price I'll have a tailor add a draw cord. Another possible design flaw is the lack of pockets. They could have added an inner pocket or something. I don't really use the pockets but I could see where other people might want more pockets. There are only two hand pockets with zippers. Also, I wish the arm openings near the wrist were not so tight. When layering the other garments start to get bunched up but then again this isn't made for COLD weather - not a design flaw. With light layering mid season to early late season, this won't be a problem.
Overall I am very satisfied. I'm not sold on scent lok - still have deer smell me but I bought the garment for it's camo (vertigo) and DEAD silence. For that I am satisfied. I would highly recommend this for bow hunting.

worth the price

I had the opportunity to wear my timberfleece jacket and pants this week bowhunting. I was very comfortable in low 40's weather and stayed in my treestand a little longer than i would have. It paid off when a doe appeared just at sunset. The next day it was in the mid to hi 30's and very windy. I was still comfortable as the timberfleece is relatively windproof. I understand it is also relatively waterproof. What a great product. It doesnt feel bulky at all. I had no trouble with the jacket not having a drawstring. Mine is vertigo grey , awesome!

good product

i would agree that this jacket should have had a drawstring on the bottom to prevent wind from coming up the back but all in all it is a very light weight and comfortable and surprisingly warm jacket. Worth the money.

Needs a draw string!
Date:
This product is good for all intensive purposes. The jacket is lightweight, quiet, comfortable, and does a great job at containing human oder. However, the person or persons who designed this jacket should have thought to put a draw-string around the bottom of the jacket. The bottom of the jacket does not do a good job of preventing the wind or cold from seeping in and up the back.
