Hawg Trough Measuring Board

A Cabela's exclusive. This measuring board quickly and easily measures fish between 8" and 30". The unique design eliminates the struggle of trying to hold lively fish against the board - just put the fish on the board, tip it up, and the fish slides against the lip for quick, accurate measuring. Great for culling and catch-and-release fishing. Measures down to the 1/4" for optimum accuracy. Made of high impact plastic.

"The" measuring tool for CPR tournaments
Date:
This is "THE" required measuring device for almost every CPR tournament. Two things need to be done to it to improve it. 1st, get some spray LOW expansion foam and fill the two grooves on the back. wait for it to dry, trim with razor and the board now floats! 2nd take a magic marker and draw some horizontal lines and a big "X" on the inside vertical lip where the fishes' head goes. this make it easy to tell in a photograph if the fish's mouth is touching the lip. Other than that, the red numbering on the white background stand out perfectly in photos. I leave mine in the foot well of my trident kayak and stand on it all the time without it breaking.

Leash Your Board
Date:
The only thing the board needs is some wooden dowels inserted into the grooves on the backside so that it will float if accidentally dropped into the water.

Light and economical - but not too tough
Date:
This is a good value for the dollar product. Good sized numbers, the concave surface helps craddle the fish better and the board is super light. I kayak fish so weight is important. For the big boat guys, dont step on it, it will easily break! If you want a really tough pro-style board, get the Check-it Stick. 4 stars for value and design - it would need to be a bit hardier to get 5 stars.

How much easier can you get?
Date:
Simple and cheap! Can't beat it. Oh...however, it is very light and will go flying out of the boat! Buying my second one now. :-)
