Whether you're going on a safari or just enjoy clearing a trail in front of you, the Woodman's Pal is the machete of choice by outdoorsmen. The 1/8"-thick, specially annealed, high-carbon steel blade won't crack or chip. The concave ax blade is convex ground for extreme strength. A super-sharp sickle hook cuts brush up to 3" in diameter. Sturdy hardwood handle. Fluorocarbon-coated to prevent corrosion. Made in USA.

Used it the same day I bought it works great on brush, branches and small trees. has a great hook on it that comes in handy when you have to uproot a small stump. Comes with a good quality sharpener too!

Bought one years ago when they were a lot cheaper - best machete tool I've ever seen. Holds an edge well, chops like an axe and the reverse hook is awesome!!!
Anything worth having is worth having two of, so - concidering buying another some day.

I use for cutting vines up to 6" in diameter. Works quite well. I also use for thorn bush removal and trail maintenance in wooded terrain. I find the performance of this tool to be satisfactory.
