Crucial piece of equipment

I'm a former U.S. Marine so I am very familiar with this piece of gear. I just ordered my own from Cabela's and cannot give enough praise for this shovel. It will come in handy for digging a waste hole on hunting trips or my fighting position for the zombie apocalypse among a thousand other uses. Buy one!

the material they used for the handle is great for grip and comfort. normally other compact shovels i use give me blisters.

My USGI Tri Fold Shovel died on me a few years back. I researched what was out there and went with this model. I use this shovel in the winter months to dig snow caves and clear out tent sites. In summer months it works great for digging fire pits, clearing tent sites of rocks, and digging latrines.

Very nice shovel

I was torn between the Gerber NATO and the Glock entrenchment tool. I am sure the Glock is fine, it even has a very nice feature in the saw blade, but the store had the Gerber in stock (I am also very smitten with Gerber products). The Gerber locks solid, is very compact and will probably never let me down. Good product!
