A classic but found wanting

The Gerber Machete Pro is based on a classical design. However as a machete it preforms badly. The blade does not extend to the end so that you cannot use the tip to cut with. The blade therefore has limited reach and although it will cut through small branches is not very practical when compared to a classical bolo or parang style machete or a Swiss bush hook. A feature I like however is the draw knife on the reverse of the blade which is very nifty for cutting brush at the base.
