The Back Pax can handle most camp and hunting chores. It weighs just 17-1/2 oz., is only 8-7/8" long but has a generous 2-3/4" long blade for handling most camp and hunting chores.
This is one great little ax. I use it for deer hunting, clearing small trees and limbs for shooting lane. Small but will do big things. Easily fits in your back pack or large fanny pack.
I bought this in January, expecting it to sit in a gear locker until camping starts this spring. Instead I\u2019ve used it to chip ice, cut wind felled limbs, and to slice summer sausage when I forgot my pocket knife. So far it seems to keep a good edge, and between the ice and the sausage the finish isn\u2019t even marred. So far worth, the money.
