The angled digging blade is tough enough to chop through small roots or remove hard clay to find your treasures.
Sturdy rake makes it easy to dislodge loose soil and sand. A built-in magnet in the handle clears ferrous junk metal from excavation sites. Sturdy wooden handle. Includes a belt holster.
I have been using this same tool, but not with the name brand Garrett printed on it, and I will only say that if you are a serious detector you will not be happy with this tool. The metal on the end with the small teeth will bend when you need it to not bend. For digging in the sand or soft dirt you will be ok, but get a sturdier tool for more serious digging as you will find in the Nevada desert.
I have tried many picks prospecting. Some I bought, some I made. The Garret pick I used last spring ,in the desert In AZ.was the fastes draw, the lightest and the easest to use.The one thing that I did.nt need.is the magnet in the end of the handel. Some people may like that feature, to check for magnetite,I don,.t. Also, It wants to cause the handel end to lock on the magenet. .I will cut off the magnet end or try to drill it out. The handel is long enough not to cause problems. Also It will decrease the weight a little.Suggest, Garret give choice, with or with it .I may insert a small compess in the end AZGolddigger.
