The tomahawk has been recognized as an essential piece of outdoor gear for centuries. It doubles as a camp utility tool and defensive weapon. Cold Steel’s Trench Hawk takes the basic tomahawk design to the next level. A drop-forged and differentially hardened 5150 carbon steel 8.75"L head has a 3.5"W primary cutting edge for chopping and slicing. The opposite end sports a wedge-shaped spike for puncturing or loosening soil. The Trench Hawk’s twin business ends also make it an accurate and effective throwing Ax. The polypropylene handle is highly shock- and impact-resistant and will withstand abuse that would easily break even a tough hickory handle. Trench Hawk comes with a patented Secure-Ex™ sheath featuring an articulated design. Overall length: 19". Weight: 24 oz.
This thing is pretty cool, I was assuming that the spike on the back would also be sharp (besides the very tip) but it's not and that isn't that bad and I thought there would be a belt loop but nope. So ill just have to make one and I might just sharpen the spike as well.. When It came in I instantly wanted to go try it out and this thing is deffinatly worth the money.
This thing is just cool. The cutting edge came razor sharp. It throws very well and is very well balanced. I know some people don't like the poly handle, but it's light and seems strong, and if you really don't like it, make a wood handle for it. Like I said, Bring on the Zombies! this thing is fun.
