Saltwater fishing is a blast, but it can also blast your equipment right into the trash bin. You need to buy tough gear made to handle the strain of saltwater fishing. These motors from Motorguide are tough enough to handle the roughest saltwater conditions you can throw at 'em. With acrylic-coated electronics, anodized aluminum and stainless steel construction, the corrosion resistance of these motors is amazing. A sacrificial anode prevents corrosion damage as well. 360° Breakaway protection in run position with automatic reset. Has the Digital Guardian Speed Module. Hand control.

Solid performer but tricky installation

This was a replacement motor and the drilled deck holes actually matched from one to the other! That helped, but some of the parts were overly tight and tough to fit (for example, plastic fitting on shaft fitting to the frame). Why the metal connection rings on the wiring when just about everyone using a bow mount motor uses a regular twist plug arrangement? Minor but annoying details.
