Minn Kota Riptide SP

Installed this motor on my Bass Tracker replacing the year old Motor Guide Wireless 45 that replaced the Motor Guide that came on the boat. After two days on the lake I could not be happier. Installation was easy and quick - no problems but I would suggest that you double check to be sure you have it mounted far enough forward to clear when deployed as it is a bit tricky. The co pilot works like a dream and as for the digital power draw, I used it for 3.5 hours this afternoon and the battery was still good 4 of 4 on the scale. Thanks to Minn Kota for a great product that seems to have cured my trolling motor issues!

MinnKota Riptide RT 55 SP CoPilot Working well!

I wanted a bow mounted saltwater motor but the wireless co pilot function was not my plan. However I found it to work surprisingly well. I was going to get a foot control also but now I see no need. I did get a second FOB which came in handy. I used one in the wrist strap and one on the fishing rod I used. This combo worked very well, maintaining control at all times.
It came in real handy when I got complaints about catching all the fish in the front of the boat. I just switched with my partner to the back and controlled from there!
