This bait worked great for sand bass. The color chosen was a good match to the bait the fish was aggressively feeding on. Only needed a little more weight to keep the lure on the bottom a little longer during my slow retrieves.

Purchased fly to catch Northern Pike; I required a fast retrieve to spark predator response and surface poppers were not catching their attention. This Clouser Minnow did the trick. It held up well after several fish but eventually the threads gave out to sharp teeth and two 35 + inch fish..

Works well in the state of UT. Good all-around fresh water shiner pattern, and works well off the CA coast for any Pacific salt water game fish. I'll be experimenting with this pattern for northern pike in Alberta this summer (2009).
